We are thrilled to announce a significant achievement by our dedicated organic team at Akunk Organic Agriculture Experimental Farm – the launch of our FIRST organic product, the delightful Apple Chips!
In 2023, our farm proudly attained its organic certification, swiftly paving the way for the immediate commencement of organic chip production. Thanks to the unwavering support of an incredible group of individuals, we proudly introduce exclusively organic Apple Chips today. The farm was started within the project Strengthening Organic Agriculture in Armenia: Participatory Higher Education and Knowledge Exchange for Development | SOAA.
A heartfelt acknowledgment goes to the diligent team at Ecoglobe organic certification body for expertly guiding us through the meticulous certification process. Their expertise ensures that our apple chips meet the highest organic standards. We extend our gratitude to Antaram Company for generously contributing resources to dry and package our organic apple chips, enabling this journey at no cost to us. The culmination of our journey unfolds during a special event on 21 December 2023 where students of the Organic Master Programme, the dean of the agronomy faculty, and esteemed professors join hands in packaging these wholesome organic products. This achievement stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and our shared passion for sustainability. Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this dream a reality!
