“Tropical Agro-ecosystems Conference” from 13th to 16th of December 2017, on Ssese Islands, Uganda

In the second week of December 2017 the team of the APPEAR Project Strengthening of Higher Education, Research and Community Outreach in Agro-Ecology in the Rwenzori Region in Western Uganda | AER will participate in the “Tropical Agro-ecosystems Conference” which will take place on the Ssese Islands in Lake Victora, Kalangala District, Uganda. The aim of the conference is to exchange knowledge, strengthen the agroecological network and to foster agroecological policy implementation in tropical areas.

The conference is co-organised by the AER-Team from Mountains of the Moon University, Fort Portal and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU).

Head of the AER-Project Prof. Dr. Bernhard Freyer will deliver a key note speech and seven AER-team members from the BOKU and the Mountains of the Moon University will present several research topics in poster sessions.
