Scientific writing and online teaching - publication based on SCARA project experiences

Creative scientific writing and teaching course at Egerton University
Scientific writing is a key competence in academic work. However efficient courses for students especially at Africa universities are rarely provided

Within the SCARA project an interactive course for creative scientific writing and teaching was developed and offered for students of Egerton University. The practical hands-on training was based on an innovative combination of creative didactics and technologies and taught by Dr. Andreas Zitek from the Center for Education, e-Learning and Didactics, BOKU.

The paper “Online Teaching of Creative Writing of Scientific Publications and Project Proposals Using Google Apps” by Andreas Zitek, Alexandra Strauss Sieberth and Dominik Ruffeis is an outcome of this workshop and was presented during the International Conference “New Perspectives in Science Education”.
