In the course of this human world - the International Human Rights Film Festival - APPEAR, the Austrian Partnership Programme in Higher Education and Research for Development, a programme of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the Commission for Development Research (KEF) present the films Ouaga Girls and Dead Donkey's Fear No Hyenas. The screenings will be followed by a discussion with speakers from academia and non-governmental organisations - such as the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation (VIDC).
The film days Wissen.Schafft.Entwicklung. put a spotlight on topics concerning sustainable development which are of growing global relevance – both for people in industrialised nations and for people in poorer regions. They adopt a bridging function between researchers and civil society and look at development issues in a cinematic, artistic and transformative way.
Date: Saturday 2nd and Thursday 7th of December 2017
Venue: Top Kino, Rahlgasse 1, 1060 Vienna
The film days Wissen.Schafft.Entwicklung are organized by the OeAD Department of Education and Research for International Development Cooperation. APPEAR and the Commission for Development Research (KEF) at the OeAD support development-relevant scientific projects and projects for capacity development at higher education institutions – especially in countries of the global South.
