Panellist at APPEAR in practice_6 event

Scholarship holder Ayelech Kidie Mengesha from Ethiopia was a panellist at APPEAR in practice_6 that took place on the 15th of March 2017 and was dedicated to land rights and land administration in Africa with a special focus on gender differences and marginalized groups.

'APPEAR in practice' invites project partners to reflect on and discuss their experiences referring to a specific topic in the project implementation process of their partnerships. The EduLAND project aims to establish a Land Administration Competence Centre at Debre Markos University in Ethiopia to alleviate the shortage of trained academic workforce and to conduct problem solving research in the field of land administration.

Ayelech Kidie Mengesha has a MSc in Rural Development, is a lecturer at Debre Markos University and has started an additional Master programme at BOKU university in Vienna in which she will focus on the analysis of land management frameworks to strengthen marginalized groups in the Amhara Region.
