Five people are giving a speech in front of an audience.
This documentary commemorates the national uprising of October 2014 in Burkina Faso, which led to the overthrow of the president Blaise Compaoré. Different protagonists of the uprising are interviewed and symbolic places during the events were visited. The film was screened in the OeAD on 12 May 2016. In the following discussion Idrissa Kabore and Komandan Mano shared their experiences of the political struggle in Burkina Faso.

Besides they talked about their motivations to participate in the demonstration and to fight for democracy.

Idrissa Kabore from Burkina Faso completed his PhD with distinction at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna in June 2016. His specialization is in applied limnology and his PhD was within the framework of the SUSFISH project. Idrissa Kabore obtained his Bachelor and Master degree of applied biology from the University of Ouagadougou. From 2009 to 2012 he was teaching natural sciences at a secondary school in Burkina Faso.

Komandan Mano is a doctoral student from Burkina Faso. He is currently pursuing his PhD within the framework of the SUSFISH project at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. He graduated from the University of Ouagadougou.
